Why hire me?

  • Empathy is one of my strongest skills that help me design for people.

I used to teach tech to my parents and grandparents, like a 101 on How to use technology! And since then, I started developing this skill. This experience has also helped me develop the ability to distinguish between good and bad products.

  • Inclusive design

I strongly believe that design is for everybody and my brain is hardwired to think in that direction. I have worked with blind and partially blind users, deaf and dumb and autistic kids and I empathize with their needs and requirements. I also have knowledge about the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and how to incorporate tweaks to make interfaces more accessible.

  • People | Objectives | Design

For any design I create I make sure these 3 points are checked: people (user is always at the center), objectives (to achieve the purpose behind creating the product), and design (aesthetics and presentation). I consider user research very important and believe that research can help to get answers for majority block points in design process.

  • Penchant to learn more

I have worked a bit in domains like accessibility, security, AI, and e-learning. It’s like I have only touched the tip of the iceberg and there’s so much more to learn and explore. Also, thanks to my Grad school for helping me meet some of the wonderful designers, researchers and participants across the globe!

I also critics are a great way to learn and always take them positively. I belong to the ‘Not-afraid-to-make-mistakes’ group!

  • Engineer-marketer-designer trio

My bachelors degree is in information technology, worked for a while as a content writer, social media associate and studied digital marketing. This exposure helps me understand aspects like development and marketing aspect of the product.

  • I know my tools

I'm proficient in using prototyping tools like Figma, Invision, Adobe Xd, usability testing tools like Tobii Pro, and tools for transcribing user interviews like InqScribe. I’m a fast learner, adapt easily to any environment and function under pressure.
